A street team is a term used in marketing that describes a group of people who 'hit the streets' promoting an event or a product. 'Street Teams' are promotional tools that have been adopted industry-wide as a standard in marketing budgets by entertainment companies, record labels, the tech industry, corporate brand marketers, new media companies and direct marketers worldwide. With the advent of social media most companies opted to transition to online marketing. However with thousands of artist and companies clamoring for consumers attention online, it's created a challenge for the marketing industry where consumers no longer want to be sold things online while attempting to connect with friends. Due to this, the music industry in particular is now seeing an increased need in the use of large street teams to reach out to fans and improve sales in the smaller hard to reach regions nationally and internationally.
After meeting with several record labels and artist, there was a general concern about the inability to connect great products with great consumers. We decided it was time to implement a large scale grassroots approach to selling content.
Right now we are working with several record labels to use this methodology to introduce their new artist to the marketplace.
